Westport Resources Management Names George Keith as Presdient and COO

Westport, CT (PRWEB) September 2, 2009 -- John Adams Vaccaro, Chief Executive Officer of Westport Resources Management, Inc., a leading financial advisor serving individuals, families, municipalities and institutions around the world, announced today the appointment of George Keith as President and Chief Operating Officer, as well as his election to the Board of Directors of both Westport Resources Management, Inc. and Westport Resources Investment Services, Inc.

A Wall Street veteran with three decades of experience in asset management, brokerage, clearing, and accounting, Mr. Keith, 54, joins Westport Resources from National Financial, a Fidelity Investments Company, where, as Executive Vice President, he led the institutional sales team to generate record sales growth for five consecutive years. During his tenure at National Financial, Fidelity Brokerage appointed Mr. Keith to a task force charged with the development and execution of a five-year global strategy for the organization.

Prior to National Financial, from 1999 to 2004, Mr. Keith served as Managing Director and National Sales Manager at Alliance Bernstein, where he spearheaded the national wholesale force, was responsible for global accounts and for handling major international corporate relationships. Prior to that, from 1995 to 1999, he was Senior Vice President of National Accounts at Scudder Funds. During this time he was also named President and CEO of Dreman Value Group, Scudder Funds' largest selling fund group. Before that, Mr. Keith spent sixteen years at Paine Webber as Senior Vice President and National Sales Manager and managed the firm's largest U.S. branch office in New York City. Mr. Keith started his career at Touché Ross, one of the nation's largest accounting firms, as a Certified Public Accountant.
